The bathrooms are done: PTL. So now we get to show you all some pictures of what we’ve been working on for the past couple months. First, we did our guest bathroom and after that, we immediately jumped into the master. And now for the first time in a couple months, we now have both of our bathrooms available! Praises.
Sarah’s Thoughts: Design
I loved designing the bathrooms, but I also probably spent way too many hours scouring the internet for what I had in mind (and by probably it’s a most definitely, yes, I did).
I designed both the bathrooms at the same time and I knew I wanted to have things that tied them together but also wanted them to be unique in and of themselves. So in the guest and master bath, the vanity and light fixtures are the same, as well as the consistency of the white subway tile in the bath/shower – but we switched it up by changing the colors in each bathroom.
For the guest it was more white, light greys, and silvers and for our master bath we went for whites and dark greys, mixed in with a few wood touches.
One thing I settled on early with this bathroom was wanting matte black finishes throughout along with grey hexagon-shaped floor tile. It took a little convincing, and reassuring that we could do it within our price range to get Ian on board 😉 From there I designed the other elements to match by keeping it mostly white, simple and classic.…
